This is when candy manufacturers make millions of dollars. People buy treats like candies, chocolates and cookies. We are sure that Hershey and M&M’s will not go bankrupt as long as we have Halloween.

4. Americans’ Generosity and Halloween
It is an old tradition to help homeless people, children and widows. It takes its roots in Ancient Ireland. The Irish then celebrated Samhain. During that period people shared food with those who needed support to survive. This tradition transformed a bit and nowadays kids go from neighbor to neighbor asking to trick or treat them. Almost 80% of American citizens follow this tradition and give something to kids.
