Two-Day Trips and Tours from San Francisco

3. Half Moon Bay & Pescadero
This area can be found in the southern part. You cannot miss the famous hiking trail called Devil’s Slide. The views there are picturesque and are often visited by tourists as well as locals. Move a bit farther to the north. This is where you’ll see Pescadero. It’s a farming community known for its fantastic flora and fauna. We are sure that before you reach Stage Road you’ll observe tens of other places! Drop by the artisan galleries. Then have a glass of local chardonnay and buy a bottle of pinot noir on your way back home.

4. Palo Alto & Silicon Valley
As a destination, Palo Alto became famous just a few years ago. Drive down the peninsula first, then, after about an hour, you’ll reach Skyline Boulevard. The area takes pride in its Purisima Creek Redwoods canyon and many other places designed for hikers. Windy Hill with its grassy slopes also helps the site attract travellers who are looking for unusual scenery. Silicon Valley boasts its regional cultural heritage. For more information, attend the Computer History Museum. People who are interested in visual arts are invited to the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center. Stanford University is known for its garden with sculptures by Rodin. The central part has the neatest attraction – the Stanford Theatre reconstructed in the mid-1920’s. There is a movie theater featuring Hollywood classics made between 1910 and 1970. Silent films are accompanied by live music. Prices are affordable.
